What you were told
"You'll need a menopause doctor for that."
Online menopause care for Toronto, from home.
Looking for a menopause doctor in Toronto? What most people want is someone who listens, can order the right tests and can prescribe. In Ontario, a Nurse Practitioner does all three. Hormone Therapy Ontario is online menopause HRT care for Toronto adults, from home, with bloodwork at a lab near you and no clinic to cross the city for.
In Ontario, nurse practitioners can diagnose, order and interpret tests, and prescribe.

Getting menopause care in Toronto usually starts with a referral. Ours doesn't.
- The public route runs through a referral. Public menopause clinics usually take patients on referral from a family doctor, and some run only on set days of the week. With us, there's no referral to wait for.
- Not everyone has someone to ask. No family doctor means no one to write the referral, and in Toronto that was at least 415,000 people in 2023. You can book with us directly. If you do have a family doctor, we can send them a summary, with your permission.

- The bloodwork is near home or work. If a test will change a decision, you get our requisition and go to a community lab collection centre that suits your day, downtown or near home. That's the only in-person step.
- It's usually on your health card. Medically necessary lab tests ordered by a nurse practitioner are covered by OHIP, including at community labs.

- You're in Ontario for the visit. Our Nurse Practitioner is registered in Ontario, and the College's virtual care guideline asks nurses to confirm you're in Ontario when they give care. At home in the city, that's already true. On a work trip to another province, book for when you're back.

Menopause and perimenopause care, without the waiting room.
"Your labs are normal."
An assessment of what you're living with, in your words. Bloodwork only when it answers a question. Hormone therapy (HRT, BHRT or MHT) where it's right for you, and non-hormonal options where it isn't. Searching for HRT in Toronto, or BHRT? It's the same assessment either way, and we explain the difference plainly.
Looking for a perimenopause clinic in Toronto? Perimenopause symptoms often start while periods still come, and they're worth an assessment too.
