Across Ontario
"You'll need a clinic near you for that."
Wherever you are in Ontario, the visit comes to you.
Hormone Therapy Ontario is an online menopause HRT practice for adults anywhere in Ontario, led by a Nurse Practitioner. There's no clinic to get to. Your assessment and follow-ups happen online, from home. The only in-person step is bloodwork at a lab collection centre near you, and only when it helps.

Where you sit is where the visit happens.
- You ask, in three questions. Which door you're coming through and how to reach you. No medical details on the form.
- We get back to you. By phone or email, to book your assessment with the Nurse Practitioner.
- Your assessment, online. Your symptoms, history and medications, in your words. Have your list ready.
- Bloodwork, if it helps. Ordered when it will change a decision.
- A plan you understand. Hormone therapy where it's appropriate, other options where it isn't, and the reasons either way.
- Follow-ups from home. Check in, adjust, repeat bloodwork when it's due. Led by your NP.
The lab is the one part that isn't online, and it's near you.
We send you a requisition. You take it to a community lab collection centre close to home or work, on a day that suits you. The results come back to us, and we go through them with you.
Bloodwork is usually covered by your Ontario health card.

One rule about where you are: in Ontario, at the time of the visit.
Our Nurse Practitioner is registered in Ontario. Under the College of Nurses of Ontario's virtual care guideline, a nurse confirms who you are and checks where you're physically located, to confirm you're in Ontario. So each visit happens while you're in Ontario. Travelling, or across a provincial border for the day? Book the visit for when you're back.

Two kinds of care. Led by a Nurse Practitioner.
Hers
Perimenopause and menopause: an assessment, bloodwork only when it answers a question, and hormone therapy (HRT, BHRT, MHT) where it's right for you, or non-hormonal options if it isn't.

Answered plainly.
01Is there a clinic I can visit?
No. Hormone Therapy Ontario is online. Your assessment and follow-ups happen from home, and the only in-person step is bloodwork at a lab collection centre near you.
02Do I need to be in Ontario?
Yes, at the time of each visit. Our Nurse Practitioner is registered in Ontario, and the College of Nurses of Ontario's virtual care guideline asks nurses to confirm you're in Ontario when they give care.
03Where do I get my bloodwork done?
At a community lab collection centre near you, with our requisition. It's usually covered by your Ontario health card.
04My city doesn't have a page. Can I still book?
Yes. If you're an adult in Ontario, book the same way. The care is the same wherever you live.
05Can I book without a family doctor?
Yes. You can book with us directly. If you do have a family doctor, we can send them a summary, with your permission.
06What do I need for an online visit?
A private spot, a phone or a device with a connection, your health card, and your list of symptoms and medications.
07What if something can't wait for an appointment?
Some things don't wait for a list. Bleeding after menopause, or a new breast lump: contact a clinician promptly or call Health811 (811). Chest pain, sudden weakness or stroke signs: call 911.
No waiting room. No road trip. Bring your list to wherever you are.
